Merritt opens his eyes again in the face of that new certainty - and finally, they sharpen faintly, as he focuses. As he focuses on Dylan, now, as he feels out the same things that left him so sure it was Dylan before - and then on, finally, beyond Dylan, to the echoes of Jack, of Henley, of Daniel.
And again, he slumps, but there's a release of tension now, the doubt and fear fading as he lets his head tilt into Dylan's. His arms twitch faintly, fighting the currently impossible urge to reach out to him, just barely holding still against the threat of the chains tightening again.
